My Johnson V4 85HP Cross Flow 1980 has No Spark on port side even after fitting the following New timer New Stator New CDI
So i have done the following
i have checked the CDIs both are good. Use the Ohm Meter to check if they were good. I have 4 of these to chop and change with all are good.
I have removed the kill wires from both CDIs thus eliminating the wiring harness from the problem.
I have cleaned and checked all earth connections ( the 4 coils and 2 CDI )
I have replaced the HT leads and Spark Plugs
Swapped over the coils from the working side.
I have swapped and changed everything from the working side to the other but still no spark
Still the same issue NO spark on 1 and 3
Checked using a Spark Gap Jumper and a timing light.
Checked each plug one at a time ( I have no way of checking the plugs all at the same time)
The stator is brand new and the timer base secondhand but was working.
What are my options now ??????
Could it be the flywheel as this is the only part of the ignition i have not replaced
