My Johnson V4 85HP Cross Flow 1980 has No Spark on port side even after fitting the following New timer New Stator New CDI
So i have done the following
i have checked the CDIs both are good. Use the Ohm Meter to check if they were good. I have 4 of these to chop and change with all are good.
I have removed the kill wires from both CDIs thus eliminating the wiring harness from the problem.
I have cleaned and checked all earth connections ( the 4 coils and 2 CDI )
I have replaced the HT leads and Spark Plugs
Swapped over the coils from the working side.
I have swapped and changed everything from the working side to the other but still no spark
Still the same issue NO spark on 1 and 3
Checked using a Spark Gap Jumper and a timing light.
Checked each plug one at a time ( I have no way of checking the plugs all at the same time)
The stator is brand new and the timer base secondhand but was working.
What are my options now ??????
Could it be the flywheel as this is the only part of the ignition i have not replaced

Not likely the flywheel as they either work or they don't, and on those flywheels the magnets involved work on all cylinders. Have you swapped the CD packs from side to side?

Yip tried swapping them tried different ones all together.
I took everything from the working side ( HT Coils and leads plus sparkplugs and CDI unit ) All of them were working on 2 and 4 side but will not work on 1 and 3.
I have removed the cut off from the CDI so to eliminate the loom but still no spark.
I am at loss as to what is causing this

Time to build yourself a peak hold adapter so you can measure the stator and timer base outputs, following the troubleshooting info on the CDI site. I'm going to assume you've already metered out all the connections? I've encountered pin/socket size differences between powerpack/harness wiring where the pins were smaller in some cases and would cause poor/no contact.

Yeah Inter done all that in can with a small multi meter
I was looking into building a DVA meter seems straight for ward enough only a few components and a bread board
