Carb fuel intake nipple cracked

The fuel intake nipple on the bottom of one of my carbs is cracked and leaking fuel on the other two. Looking online I haven’t been able to find a replacement nipple and the float champer assembly is $130. It seems silly to pay that much for such a minute issue. Was curious if anyone else has had this issue or knows how to replace that nipple.1FB0743B-832A-4DD8-99CA-56391D5498F5.jpeg

Your local hardware store may have brass pipe fittings that will work.---Depends on how much room between carburetors I guess.-----Be an easy fix on my work bench.

You can get nylon or brass 90 degree fittings at most hardware stores -- don't know what the fitting is into the float chamber, though. Do you know where it leaks? (possible it's just a loose clamp, maybe). I see some marks up at the flanges -- if that's a leaking spot, Crosbyman's suggestion would work, I think, with a stainless clamp screwed down over the hose at that spot.

Happened to me. Break off the plastic/melt it off. It's presses on to a knurled fitting. Drill and tap to install 90 degree brass fitting. Make sure you get a good seal. I used teflon tape.. I'll try to find what size I had to use.

1/8 mnpt 5/16 90 deg elbow is what I used. Will have to drill and tap. Use some sort of sealant for fuel resistant "teflon" type tape to seal threads good.

Thank you all for your help. As an update I was able to find the exact replacement on ebay. After several attempts to press a new one in (I broke 4 of them in the process), I finally got one seated without cracking the plastic. Put everything back together, primed it, and checked. Although it was leaking significantly less than when I started it was still leaking. I have decided to purchase the entire bottom plate that its pressed into.

I tried to find a brass fitting that would work but found no luck. Thanks again.
