So I have a mercruiser 140hp and water is getting in to the oil pan when I run it idk what it is does anyone have an idea
and I have a motor that's a parts but it haves a cracked block
you fix it by getting a non-cracked block. basically buy a cheap rotten bayliner hull with the 3.0 in it and scrap the boat hull, keeping the motor. How can I fix that cuz I'm trying to go cheap and not so much work but the last guy said he ran it and then oil got in the oil he thinks head gasket and I have a motor that's a parts but it haves a cracked block
Ayuh,.... Service the points in the distributor, 'n set the timing, 'n dwell,....Now is just cranking no back fire
Yeah, that wouldn't work here in my house.LOL.... looks like a living room floor rebuild, obviously single?
so you didnt do a proper job. like bondo stated, service the points, set the dwell (with a meter) and then set timingI never touch timing other then water pump this is all I did to it
Good Marine mechanics are getting harder to find. Sound's like your mechanic needs some schooling. Spark, compression, fuel. Just have to know when it's all supposed to happen in the right order.I scraped the other motors and starter is good. New plugs and idk if it haves a kill switchme and the mec are lost thanks to brainerd mn they don't know anything about boats same as me
