Your drive is specific to the 3.7. However there are othe drives with similar ratios

Need to know what caused the drive to seize. Most likely it will have caused issues with the lower. So unless the lower has been given a clean bill of health it may not be worth anything

Ohh and here’s another question, they said that when it was new it had the fuel tank under the bow cus it is a closed bow but I’m thinking maybe I can open the bow and fit a fuel tank under the floor at least a 30gallon tank is that even possible ??? And can I raise the sides of my boat and the transom to be taller than the engine so i can make one of these flat apholstered engine covers ??? And if so how ?? Thanks for the help
You may want to consider buying what you want vs dumping lots of money into your existing boat modifying everything. What you are proposing to do will cost you more than the boat is worth

So if it were you what would you do ??
regarding the drive, pull it apart, determine what failed, then either fix it or replace it

regarding the boat, use it as is, then sell it and buy what I wanted.

If you're cacking the ceramic, you're either not using the proper socket or the socket is not sitting straight. Not sitting straight is common problem due to obstructions.
Sometimes you can't get the socket in there properly due to certain obstructions. The fix is to grind down the walls of your socket to help make it fit straight.

I just did my plugs in my engine. I have the same motor but a new model. Some of them are a little tough to get the plug socket on but you need patience. I threaded my plugs in almost all the way by hand with the socket. The correct spark plug socket with a universal joint and different length extensions did it. You can use a box wrench on the nut already on the end of the spark plug socket for a couple but I didn't.

You think these plugs are tough to get to, try doing them in a Ford Triton engine.

What's the skinny with the engine? You sent it out to an engine shop and got rebuilt?

How about the drive? I didn't see where you posted what was the problem with it being seized?

Here is a picture of my spark plug socket. I ground down the top portion for better clearance.
I cannot take credit for this great idea. Someone on this forum posted this a while back. Regrettably I can't remember who that was to give credit, but it was just one of those great ideas.
Oh, mine is a V6 Mercruiser 4.3L from 2003.

Ha! Not to go too far off topic, but on those Triton engines...you'll find your spark plug (and coil pack) laying somewhere on top of your engine after it literally blew out due to bad threads in the heads. Ford ignored the problem, abandoning it's customers.
If you happen to have a van, good luck getting a drill in there to install heli-coils.

Yeah, your not kidding... lol I had half my plugs blow out on my last 5.4 in my van work truck. Fun times, from what I remember the job is almost all by feel and using an inspection mirror. Cal Van makes a really nice kit to repair the damaged hole. Funny every time it happened, it never threw a check engine code.

Yeah, someone I know was driving and heard a loud pop. Then it sounded like an air compressor. It was an E250 van. We found the busted up spark plug and coil pack parts all over the top of the engine.
The van was parked and never got fixed.
