Oil pressure sending unit upgrade

I would like to upgrade this old unit. 70s Ford 302. Is there a simple switch available

I'm replacing almost everything to avoid any falts on new engine. I'm tired of breakdowns

Get use to them... You're up against the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

I went through the same thing with my old 165, the solution was a completely new drive line. ie, If you want 'more reliable', get something much newer.

It's not just the engine, it's the drive and gimbal housing too.

The big one is the pressure sending unit.
The smaller one on the right is probably for a low oil pressure alarm if you have one.

Not that I have ever heard and my oil pressure went as low as 20.

The switch is probably set at 7psi

You have a big red 'WARNING' light on the dash. That oil pressure switch is connected to that light. And as Scott suggested, it's set at around 7psi. It comes on before the engine is started?
