Sounds ok to me , nice steady idle . Dunno but it sounds like its a bit rattley, more noticeable from the port side ,but it could also just be that the exhaust is unmuffled and messing with your microphone.
Giving it a couple of quick revs would tell us a bit too, just to hear how it responds when you give it a handful, and how it returns to idle. 🙂.
The real test is when you put it under load 😁.
And the plugs look ok.... so far, load her up😆
It may sound like that on the port side because the starboard side was covered by the board the engine was sitting on. It always sounds weird on muffs. I was concerned it seemed a bit too shaky but maybe that’s normal

It needs to be in the water with some back pressure on the exhaust to hear, see and feel the true story. But so far it sounds good from here. Jmo

I’m probably paranoid 🤣 I’ll stop bothering y’all now hopefully! I’ll let you know how she runs when I get it back on the boat!
I really think that is just 2 stroke idling , they can seem like one pot gives an extra strong firing every now and then . See if you cant find a sound track of a big 2 stroke motoX bike idling or gettin its throttle blipped and you will see what we mean 😁(even a decent sized chainsaw will do it )

This has reminded me of the first time I operated a 4 stroke. It was durning a storm and a older guy was afraid to go get his boat off the morning and asked me and my friend for some help so my buddy took me out and I hopped on board (well it was more like a bellyflop) I started the motor and didn’t hear or feel it running so I hit the key again. Turns out it was running.
I was so surprised at how smooth it ran.

If those sparkplugs are only run for 1 day ? The engine needs a GREAT mechanic.
In short, you shouldn't expect to see significant changes in the appearance or condition of new spark plugs after only 5 minutes of idling.

This is what I’ve read. Everyone else is saying plugs look normal as of now
