So driving the ford I came up with a few more likes/dislikes.

Likes:
Acoustic glass

Dislikes
Electric brake boosters
Digital gauge clusters (if you're going to give me a screen for a dashboard, at least make the gauges have more than a max and minimum for tick marks)

The torque converter feels like its pulsing on mild acceleration and every shift was either smooth or trying to snap my neck. The easiest way to describe it is like lugging a manual transmission... except its doing that at 2500 rpm not 1000... and its done it since day one and Ford still says its normal.

I'll also add the B&O stereo is.... underwhelming. There are some time alignment issues with all those speakers that makes it sound weird.

If you have a torque converter shutter, it. Needs a converter. Fluid flush may or may not make it better

agreed, the new torque converters eat themselves when they start to slip (shudder). if you pull the filter, you will most likely find fairy dust.

Its weird though. Like I've driven an 8 speed with the shudder and this feels completely different. Its more like the pwm for lockup is pulsing. Doesn't do it under very heavy load or very light throttle. Just that one particular spot and even then not all the time nor in every gear. Its difficult to describe. The 8 speed was like rumble strips, this is very much like a low rpm lugging of a manual.

Might not be a bad thing to just take it back to the dealer and let them do it though. At 20k miles and still well within warranty may as well.
