I removed the flywheel to replace the points, condensers and coils, but I am having trouble aligning the flywheel with the key. Is there a particular way the key has to be in on the shaft? I do see 2 marks on 1 side of the key. any help appreciated.

What kind of fuel filters is everyone using for the old 50's bigtwins?

Can anyone please help me find the timing marks? I see the 2 marks on the mag plate, but I can not seem to find the marks on the flywheel. any help appreciated. I just replaced the points, condensers and coils and need to make sure its timed properly. thanks

Can I use standard plug wires for a tractor? the local farm supply store sells wire kits for a 4cyl tractor for $12. Also does it matter if I use 7mm or 8mm wire? I have a 56evinrude 30hp I want to replace wires on. thanks
