    I believe this to be normal but I wanted to confirm. There is a hole in the front of the midsection behind the swivel bracket and it has water come out when running. Just restored motor and put new impeller in. It does still dump water out of the exhaust as well… thank you

    If there is a piece covering where the side shifter would be then i would say it is probably throttle shift, if there a hole in the cowling where the shifter would be then it probably was a side shift. either way they should be interchangeable, so if you dont have a tiller handle or something...

    I would assume a fuel problem before spark or timing. As for timing i believe you could hold it at half throttle and mess with the timing by moving the mechanism that advances it, of course being careful. But for fuel I would try pumping the bulb and seeing if that fixes it, and then i would...
