    Go back to the threads and report your findings to close. After you pump the fuel primer the carbs will be full so at that stage you don't need a fuel pump for starting. Different to the later models that use a fuel primer valve your's uses the good old fashioned choke butterflys.

    Resistance within a circuit reduces current. Check for short circuits in wiring and blower motor.

    I have had success with Mercs by binding around the bottom with cloth tape then securing with a worm drive hose clamp to stop the grease coming out the bottom & forcing it out the top instead. If my memory serves me I think I may have also warmed it up just a little.

    I can't explain what's happening but here's where I'd go to move forward. Confirm the exact model of the motor then get either a genuine factory manual or a genuine circuit diagram for that model. Interesting point, the relays in post #13 appear to be different from each other.
