    Ok.....old wood is out....that was easy since it came out in a million pieces...........is the consensus that a new 8x48x1 1/8 will fit in without removing the angle aluminum piece ???

    Here's a pic showing corner cap and also just above the wood transom is a strip of 90 degree angle aluminum which is riveted on running full width of the wood which is 8" x 48"

    I have a 16 ft Henley 60" beam , self bailing and was wondering what really determines the max hp for any boat.........and would like to know the max hp for this boat. regards Bill
