1986 110 HP Evinrude
Using a 17" pitch prop, the boat has difficulty holding at a 25 mph speed. However, using a 15" prop, that is not a problem.
Any idea why?

I have the Evinrude 1986 service manual, but I can't find anywhere in there what the compression is supposed to be. Does anyone have that info?

Well, I thought I had a lower gear case oil leak due the bottom screw and washer.
But, I have a more serious problem than a washer. The TRUE oil leak is coming out the bottom of the hub where the prop is.

Regarding the correct gear case lube for a 1986 110 hp Evinrude:
The manual says OMC Hi-Vis Gearcase Lube, but would any High viscosity LOWER UNIT GEAR LUBE for outboard lower units work okay?
