    I have a 1979 Mercury, 70 HP engine that I want to rebuild. Everything is there accept the cylinder block. Would anyone know where I could find a good used block for this motor?

    Ya no, that's not what I have, I have the pump inside boat with hoses that go out to the motor and I need to separate the hoses to remove it.

    Oh, I guess I should have mentioned that I want to take the pump as well, a complete trade of motor and lift.

    Hi there, I have an older 1972 80 Hp Mercury outboard with the rams on the shocks that lifts the motor. My question would be, cause I want to take this motor off of one boat and put on my boat, how do I take it apart without getting blasted with fluid in the system? Thanks in advance!!

    I have tried 3 starters and get same result. I did however forget to mention that the engine hasn’t run for about 8 years now.
