I found this searching. 1975 Slickcraft 302 Ford. My tilt is stuck up. At the little floating switch on the helm I get an amp draw yet motor does not work. I am trying to find out if something is stuck? Ordered 1975 OMC stern drive service manual, waiting for it.

Building a 1959 Aluma-Craft Deep C. Thinking the carb needles need to be changed to non-rubber tip solid needles. Hopefully I wont have to buy four carb kits for a smaller outboard?.... Oh boy...
What 'cha got to say about it? Got to change it to short shaft. Looks like the spark gets made under the flywheel. Showing a 9 amp stator plate under the generator, seen an exploded view. So there must not be a belt drive generator. Yet I see an amplifier...hummmmmm. New to me. Don't...
