Nice work on your gem of a project, I like it for sure. Windshield might dress it up, then again, maybe not, that's the cool thing, you can do what ever you want. Isn't the lake still covered with ice cubes?

Re: Miss Peachtree

Hey thanks Greenbush, The north bay was almost open when I was up there a couple weeks ago, yet I think it may of re-frozen some lately.

I have adjustable windshield brackets and I think about it, it's only fast enough for goggles goin' full throttle.... ha....

Tell ya the truth I've been thinkin' of some kind of canopy. It could have pivot points at that steering bar get up.

Got to get that compas drawer done and tied in to the stern light rheostat, then I'll be ready.....

Steady as she goes.....

IMAG2947.jpg Cool aircraft rheostat upgrade for the mood lighting. Two of them, from a set of vintage Fisher speakers.

IMAG2963.jpg Virtually done with compass drawer..... Where is the compass? It's in the compass drawer dipstick..... ha...

Really like how the compass drawer has turned out...
Miss Peachtree is reminiscent of a beautiful Victorian era creation...

Sincere thanks GT.

One off peeling off a few turnings, pedestal mount for search light. Jerry-rigging at my best. IMAG2971.jpg

Search light stud shrink wrapped. Perfect interference mount...IMAG2972.jpg

Checking new wiring before button up realized I did make a mistake. Wired power for selectric buttons from a gauge power terminal. Changed it to power supply for electric choke. Gauges electrical supply is now on they're own fuse.

IMAG2991.jpg Found cool vintage ore up on the north end of town down here...

Dig on that painting, and all the continuous grain, made from one piece of wood.

I'll never have to use it, as long as I'm running non thermostat purposely simple Evinrude....

IMAG2988.jpgYea, I'm glorifying myself. It has been a long winter tending to this continuing development.

Check out those meats..... ha.....

Judging by the dust pattern, I'm going to let a few more pounds out of them fatties...... squish wiggle squish......

Miss Peachtree is ready to display continuing development in research and fabrication and prototypin', round 3. Latest development is four corner rolling stock. Two sets of spare bearings, two spare hubs, two spare wheels and tires.... I can pick the trailer up then point it, either pull it or push it on four rolling tires.... Rock n Roll....

It is time to haul my beautiful girl with confidence and authority. And to have double spare parts on hand for a just in case that will probably never happen....

Couldn't beat this deal. Found a 1959 Big twin with a broken tiller thing and a stripped out spark plug threads for parts as a covert operation... Otherwise in quite good condition for only $50 bucks. Thought I would make a holiday out of it since I have never taken an outboard like this all the way apart. Cracked open a few coolies as parts were being removed.

All the while driving to check it out, wondering if I should hide the 1969 40 pony selectric under the 1959 35 pony Big Twin cowl. Going for it, found a reproduction sticker kit for the '59, very good. Big twin has rope steering, very good. Big Twin has the throttle cable pointing off to the side, very good. Big Twin has new made in Germany coils and points and condensers and wires, about 70 bucks or so in brand new stuff, very good. Big Twin has more of a vintage look, very good.

Probably an ounce or so of water came out of the lower unit first, then the lube. Cracked it open, found no damage at all. Just as I say, change the lube and keep an eye on it, it will be fine..... We are both 55 years old.... ha..... keep an eye on us... ha....If I were going to run it I would change seals and that o-ring and water pump impeller. I still have to find the time for a freshen up on the mighty Ski-Twin.....as always, keeping an eye on it..... Of course I could know everything......

Howdy LS,
Really like the "big axle, little axle" trailer set up...should be good to go cross country without any failure worries;)
Sounds like a nice score on the project Twin, hope it provides the necessary tutelage...
