    I have a high voltage output 16.4 volts at full throttle. I have replaced the rectifier and still the same output. Is this normal cause my Garmin fish finder says danger high voltage and turns it self off. Is there a voltage regulator I need or can put in. I am using new deep cycle battery...

    1973 merc 1150 Tilt and trim motor oil 20w?

    Ok, pump is rebuilt and working fine! It says use 20w oil, but I can not find that oil anywhere, the boat store or auto part stores. Can I use something else? It has some brownish oil in it but I am not sure what it is. The trim and tilt motor is mounted inside the boat. Thanks

    Can anyone tell me if the hole on the distributor cap should have a cap or plug in it? The cap is blue. This hole is a manufactured hole. The motor runs well just has a hard time cold starting. Thanks

    Thanks to all for the past help. Well the motor runs great, but it keeps jumping out of gear. I think its the linkage. Can the bellcrank be replaced? If so how? Thanks I love the water.

    Oil Mixture 1959 Johnson V50 Outboard

    Thanks to all that has help me! I am now looking for the right oil mixture. Motor is a 1959 V50 super seahorse. 1.) On the motor it says 1 quart to 6 u.s. gallons or 5 imperial gallons. Is this right and what is this ratio - 50:1? Thanks in advance I love the water.

    1959 Johnson V50 V4S-11 starter bushings

    Thanks for the help. I have a few problems. 1.) start bushings are needed. 2.) It seems that only plugs 1 & 3 are firing. I have spark to all the plugs. Plugs 2 & 4 don't seem to be getting gas. Thanks again I love the water!

    Thanks to all in advance. Can anyone tell me the wiring layout for the 4 spark plugs in this motor. I just got the boat and trying to restore it, but the motor does not have any spark plugs or spark plug wires. I love the water.
