We buy nonethanol and bring it to the boat by jugs. It’s just easier since the boat is kept at the lot by the river.

Plugs pulled a month ago and looked fantastic.
Does NOT happen in neutral with revved engine.

Yup, had an old chisel laying around that needed a little grinder work to get it perfectly flat. Gave it to’er and that’ll work. Waiting on my new plug thanks to the previous attempts. 👍
Too bad it couldn’t have been literally any other head screw…
Seriously, shouldn’t I be able to take the drain plug off with a screwdriver and minimal effort? So far I broke one screwdriver and left a nice mark with an impact. It seemed I am just ruining the slot at this point.
It’s not reverse threads, right?

Howdy. We are new to this boat and I/o style of boats. Picked up a 2000 Monterey 198 LS with 5.0 GL-c and SX-M. Initially had problems with the motor but got that sorted and on the initial test run, notes a vibration from the rear, especially with turns under load.

Carb rebuild done. Idle screw cork was torn and generally had some funk in there.
she started and idled without difficulty. Gonna take her to the ramp tomorrow and putt around.
