    1969 merc 1250ss vs 1984 merc 115

    My question is which one has more power at the prop? Will the 115 bolt in where the 125 was? (electrical, controls, trim etc.)

    1971 Merc 800 to 1250 swap

    1971 Merc 800 to 1250 swap

    I have decided to swap from a 80 to a 125 both the same vintage. As far as I can tell it looks like everything should just bolt up. Is this really the case or are there things I should be aware of? How about the tilt and trim, just take off the lines at the pump and leave attatched to old motor...
