The neighbor adopted me as her dad a couple years ago so that came with 'grandkids'....
Ha ha , yeah me too...@ 63 I got a 32 year old and her 4 kids (3 boys 9,14 and 16 and a 12 yo girl ,the kids Father and Grandfather perished in a boating accident ) and as we never had kids it sure was (is) an eye opener.😁

That bucks on the accident. For me her dad does not approve of her lifestyle and politics. They haven't spoken since just after her youngest was born so about ten years.

And I'm 59, she's about 33 kids 9 and 12 (the third kid was a add on friend for the day)

Yeah, lots of extra adults as well for me, mostly moms. My mom moved overseas when I was 10 years old so several of my friends over the years had moms that to this day i still call mom.

The universe is way smarter than me and has given us strays kids over the years, many who have lived with us for a period of time and all had or since have had kids with the oldest joining the marines this fall. My plan was that based on family history i should be dead right about now but all the test and doctors tell me i'm gonna live for a bit so i think all these strays that have given us 'fake' grandkids over the years was the universe training me for the real granddaughter i will have in December. Never wanted grandkids, now I can wait.

So to keep on topic of a picture thread not a lot of words thread here is me after trolling for my first salmon, circa 1976 on the Columbia River, Oregon.
