I figured it was probably that. I didn't even know that one could do the radio delete option nowadays.
I used to be deep off into high-end car audio. Did some IASCA competitions, etc. The older I get, the more I'd rather spend it on more sensible modifications. Long gone are the days of OEM stereos sounding like a tin can. Even the lesser expensive ones sound decent. They might not remotely adjust your rear view mirrors from the bass, but many do perform moderately well for being a stock system.

At what it costs now to build a system comparable to what I built 10 years ago... the stock premium system is. I'm not going to say good but adequate. I deadened and did a CLD layer on my daily back in May and the stock setup is good enough now I won't mess with it. You have to get stupid to get a truly excellent sounding system in a moving vehicle that it just isn't worth it to me. I built out the home system instead lol.

Radio delete went by the way of manual transmissions, manual windows, glass headlight lenses, and diesels with mechanical pumps

I'll add in though for manual transmissions, a dislike is forced skip shift. Thats some BS I don't need in my life.

One of the first things I did to the wife's Challenger after we got it was add a skip shift eliminator. Took more time to jack the car up than to install the squib.

Manual windows suck. Don’t miss them at all.
Still got them on the Capri , and as for the electric windows Id be a lot happier if they could make up their mind when they are going to work. If I turn motor off with trans in D the radio will stay on and the windows will work for ever with ign off .........as long as you dont open the drivers door ... windows stop instantly then you have to put in P ( req foot on brake ) then foot off brake as press start button to turn on electrics and wind window . Or , with trans in P but foot off brake it will power up on the button but not start .... windows all work and continue to do so and for about 30 sec after button is turned off ............unless anyone else opens their door and then you have to go thru the false start procedure to get the windows to work .
OH YEAH !!! and the 🤬 reculating air thing , I always want it on "fresh " but nooooooooo , I dont get to pick , it changes by itself...........driving along thinkin " geeze its getting stuffy in here " I looks down and sure enough its switched to "rec". I bruised the end of my finger stabbing at that bastard button more than once šŸ˜€šŸ˜€

Adaptive Cruise Control
Love this option, I'm a cruise control junkie. As soon as I can turn it on, it's on. Speed limit 55 I'm doing 60 to 63. The issue is there is always someone that either is doing 55 (I can't do 55!!!) or there speed keeps changing.

Adaptive Cruise is great, I set distance apart and the Truck keeps me at that distance even if they slow down to 30. Don't know if it would fully stop the truck, and take back off because when we get to slow I step on the break

Like "hey Google" call so in so, haven't tried Hey "Gemini" yet
I cant DRIVE FIFTY FIVVVVVVE! LOL, I hear ya. I tested the will it stop fully with the adaptive at a reasonable I know I can stop speed, it does not stop on my Tundra. It does however make this annoying crazy loud beep and lights the dash up red! I am a fan of the adaptive cruise somewhat. I don't like the way it slows down though, a little to aggressive on the brake and gas when it gets going again. My Tundra likes to drink though!

I know it is. But its the principle of buying a manual in the first place, it should do what I want to do without having to disable crap or buy something.

although as mentioned before I drive a very basic truck with manual transmission and I'm happy with it, I think manual transmission sucks at trafic jams also with load in steep roads is not convenient, I think new transmissions are very good, I hated an old Silverado 1500 from 2006 4speed automatic, in highway also in steep trailering the boat it seemed that the transmission couldn't make its mind if it wanted to be in 4th or 3rd gear it jumped around too much, I think newer 6 speed transmissions are very good. Also I don't miss at all manual windows.

Yep. Thanks, CAFE standards. The first thing done to that 4+3 transmission in my first C4 was to disable that mess. Good thing we have all these ridiculous laws to make our lives so much better, huh? 🤬

I still find myself using my mirrors but I have to say they sure are handy for lining up the trailer.

That just had the default over drive engaged on the 4+3 no? The ZF6 had the skip shift I thought

I got a 6 speed and it does get a bit indecisive in the twisty hills , I just paddle it down to 4th ( or whatev ) and unless the revs get to high (red line ) or low it stays there ............until I go back to D ........even if that takes untill the passenger seat unwanted information/ complaint /opinion thing reminds me :)
