    How to remove seawater pump on aq271c?

    I noticed a small leak at the seawater pump today and decided to check it out. I was able to remove the impeller and housing from the crank pulley, however I can't seem to separate the impeller housing from the part that bolts to the crank pulley. How do I separate the two?

    I replaced my bad fuel pump and now the engine starts but it will not idle on it's own. I hold the carb open, it revs and then dies as soon as the ignition switch moves from start to on.     Bad starter or other issue?

    How can I tell if the boat is in gear or not? I tried starting the boat today after re-wiring the engine harness and the motor would barely turn over and sometimes it wouldn't at all and I would hear a big clunk. The starter got very hot and so did the positive wire to the perko switch.
