    First Time out!!!!!!!!!!!

    Replacing seats....

    omc stern drive

    how is the shift cable released from the lower unit, the boat side has a nut 3/4, thats easy. the outter side has a 4 inch slide, my problem is that the slide moves with the nut?!?!?!<br />88 larson 4.3 with an omc cobra

    so I decided I will pay someone to put in a shifter cable( forward-N-reverse) but should i and how do i get the lower unit back on. It seems like the drive shaft will not go in.<br />or can i do this myself?<br />HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    shifter cable at lower unit

    I have an 88 larson 18 foot with a 4.3 and OMC stern drive. I was on the lake and it lost reverse and was stuck in forward i got it off the lake and pulled the lower unit.
