    Ok sounds like this is not a fluke thing. I wonder if I can pull it off then use bellows adhesive to re attach it. Maybe buy a piece of new hose that is a snug fit and glue it on.

    Yes it does look like a shock bushing. Yes I have 350 SBC ( Mercruiser 350 Mag ) and it does have a 1in hose. I don’t see how I can replace the bushing in the housing without removing this spacer bushing on the pipe.

    hi. Just to clarify. I removed the seal bushing in the transom. Couldn’t remove the piece on the end of the pipe. It appears to be either really stuck or glued on. Are you talking about the rubber shim piece on the end of the pipe that increases the diameter for the other hose?
