    Hey @Lou C . . . I have noticed that the Formula boat outboard conversions are more of a bolt-on with little/no modification of the swim deck. The Cruisers Yacht 338 OB has the swim deck notched out about 1 foot, so the engines mount right at the edge of where the swim deck would be. I...

    The local town sea wall and dock was re-built a few years ago. I think it had been there since biblical times. It seems that the engineering folks forgot to factor in sea level rise. Not sure they meant for the platform structure to be partially submerged during high tide. .

    The engineering department at Cruisers Yacht is telling me that the hull and deck molds for the outboard version of the 338 are different, which I sort of knew about the deck. I think it has to do with the balance point of the boat, since the OB version has the swim deck notched about 8"...

    Weighing my options . . . If the cost of a conversion rivals the cost of a sell/buy, then sell/buy may be the way to go. Kind of depends on a bunch of variables.

    I have an email into Cruisers to get their advice. I'll try to find out where they get their brackets. I was wondering about the pod-to-transom seal, as many of the brackets have an open face. I think I've seen some that are closed face. I wonder why they are not all closed face? :unsure:
