    Look on the far right for the tube, you`ll see 2 flats, hold it there. when your done the flats must be vertical after the new cable is installed.

    check the screen at the carb. most likely clogged up with something. see if you can gently blow air thru it, if not your gasoline is contaminated.

    but never for Alpha`s .The inner cup is SS but the impeller is rubber and the housing is plastic. If he melted it from no/lack of water it will be very evident at teardown.

    If you collect the water coming out you should catch about 4 1/2 gallons. But to be sure you need to unhook the quick disconnect fittings at the block to verify complete draining. Sometimes they get clogged and you need to probe the fittings to insure there not clogged with scale/rust/sediment...

    take a heavy jumper from the pos battery and touch the Green wire from the pump pump should run. If yes, the solenoid is bad

    usually the rear mounts have collapsed and that affects the engine alignment. pull the drive, pull the engine,set on ground, burn /melt out the old mount and spacer. I machined this to install the new mounts but some threaded rod ,socket and washers can do the same. Or have them pressed in at a shop
