Anyone have a Super Sport with a ski locker?

I added a ski locker to my 18' holiday (really its more for life jacket storage). Mine is open ribs on the bottom but is boxed in on all sides with aluminum. I pulled the locker parts from a donor boat. I have yet to have enough water in the boat to reach the locker. I have a pretty good bilge...

Paint recommendations - fresh water, marina slip

Im not very knowledgeable about paint but you might want some sort of aluminum safe antifouling paint if its going to stay in the water. Im going with 2part epoxy primer for the base, regular primer over that and then topside paint for final but it wont stay in the water. There are definitely...

I don't have any results yet but I am prepping to paint my boat now. After a lot of searching and phone calls to suppliers, I decided to go with interlux. there are some other great paints out there but it seamed like a good system for my application. It wasn't cheap paint but much more...

    1968 StarCraft Holiday restoration

Strip down mode. Just finished pulling the windshield back off. It was quite the job, the Butyl tape I used is difficult to remove. I need to find a better seal before installing again. Currently removing the remaining hardware and marking holes that need to be filled. The weather is still...

    1968 StarCraft Holiday restoration

Its not bad, old garage was bigger but was hard to keep warm. the brick on this one really helps a lot. I think a good layer of insulation on the ceiling will allow me to maintain a good temp without wasting too much energy. Just need enough time to get the paint cured.

    1968 StarCraft Holiday restoration

OK.... Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I sure did. With that out of the way and getting somewhat settled into the new house, I can finally get back to some work on the Holly. Built the new boat cradle 2.0, much more skookum and compact than the old one I threw together. After pulling...

    Bow/Docking lights on a StarCraft?

No intentions of running them continuously. I guess I need to check the coast guard laws.

    Bow/Docking lights on a StarCraft?

Anyone installed lights like this or something similar? I am out a lot after dark and there have been a few times where lights would have been nice.

We were. But we did get skunked which doesn't happen very often. Oh well, like I told my boy, there is no such thing as a bad day out fishing.

nope, must have just been defective. I guess its possible that a piece of trash or something flew up there from the road but I couldn't find anything. I have never had a tire sidewall blow out like that before
