I order new wheels for the trailer. yesterday they were delivered, so I installed them as soon as I got home because I was taking my boy fishing. 5 miles down the expressway and BOOM!!! I was forced to leave the boat on the side of the road while we went home to grab the old tires and a jack...

One more post for the day and I can enjoy my night checking out what everyone else is up to. I tried to take a pic from the same angle as one from the first day I owned the boat. Man its been a journey.

Tonight I wrapped up the fabrication of the center dash. This was a lot harder than it looks. It took me 4.5 hours to figure out the curves and bends to get this all together. I think it will make for a nice touch when finished.

I reinforced the rear starboard area by the swim platform, its solid at a rock now so I don't have to worry about my heavy foot denting it while climbing in and out of the water. actually did this a couple weeks ago but never took any pictures.

2lb is very tough. I ran 2lb on my 18' holiday and the floor is rock solid.

New to me boat. What year/model

I'm no expert either but I would guess early 60's maybe. Dont think that is the original windshield ( I could be wrong though). the front navigation light appears to be an older style than my boat and its a 68. Whoever owned it dumped some good money in that custom canvas though.

not sure hoe much work you will need to do but "clecos" are extremely useful for working with sheet aluminum. Its basically a temporary rivet that you can use over and over

I filled in some holes on my boat with aluminum patches and rivets, using 3M 5200 to seal the seam if necessary. you can pick up some drops of 5052 aluminum sheet at your local metal supply. I just bought a whole sheet when I started and have been cutting away at it since. .063" is the thickness...

The shell of the doghouse is finished. I'm thinking about having a someone skin it for me with gray vinyl like the sides or I might do carpet that matches the floor, haven't decided yet. I have a plan to cut in a access hatch on the doghouse that way it can be securely fastened in place but I...

    1968 StarCraft Holiday restoration

Finally finished the rear hatch, I used some 3M adhesive backed neoprene that I had to work as a seal. This is also the first time working with rivet nuts and they are pretty neat. will definitely be using them on other projects.
