I remember having to make my own T Bolts for the windshield as well. Also pencil in the drill chuck? What is the secret use I don't know? SHSU

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

Looking good. You going to have enough room between the hull and the side board for the speaker to fit? SHSU

There were hooks that run under the gunwales originally. I just bent some Aluminum flat bar to ad some rigidity when I replaced them. SHSU

    Are All Boats Repairable?

If you are deciding to move forward, your plan isn't far off from what others have done. As for an epoxy filler, Total Boat make some stuff and I use JB Weld, but I didn't have corrosion as bad as yours. SHSU

    1976 22' SUS O/B "Hydration Break"

We take our SS16 out a couple miles to the end of the Jettys in the Gulf of Mexico. Have to pick our days but loads of fun. I just wish I had space for a bigger hull. Requirement I had was to fit in the garage so I didn't have to pay for storage.... SHSU

    Are All Boats Repairable?

As others have said, how much money do you want to spend.... I think most of us have thrown way more money into our hulls then we could ever hope to get out of them. These are projects that make no sense but we love them all the same. SHSU

87 Starcraft CSS 180 Transom Help

Looks like a glasser, unfortunately most everyone works on aluminum hulls on here. Might want to try one of the Fiberglass hull sections. SHSU

You are way ahead on the rivet front if you don't have to replace them all, don't ask me how I know..... lol SHSU

It isn't the right adhesive for the job. So it would work, but Gluvit should work better. If its a redish brown goop is most likely factory. SHSU

    198x SS-150 rebuild

Think the 5200 is not needed, I would just try the gluvit. Its designed to get into the cracks and seal. SHSU

Agree with 3/4 being the way to go. Much sturdier then 1/2. As for the end grain sucking in water, its really hard to seal those areas. Don't know how effective the Rustoleom will be, but with the Nautolex covering it should help prevent additional. SHSU

I just wire wheeled and didn't sand, but all you need is enough to knock off the oxidation. SHSU

Build a little trailer just to support the engine and pull it behind the boat trailer. lol SHSU

    Center console project

Very nice!!!! A newer motor is on the wish list, but can't argue with a working motor I already have. On another note, that is a lot of weight hanging from the back. How you supporting it when driving? Don't think a transom saver will do the job in this case. SHSU

Glad you got the engine mostly figured out. At least you got WOT and unless you can't idle I wouldn't mess with the idle screws. As for the tach, you sure you have the Tachometer set to the correct setting for your engine or is it just not reading? SHSU

Don't worry, it took me 2 1/2 years to get ours finished. It will be even more fulfilling because of the added length and commitment. SHSU
