    Floor replacement

You can bend it 50 ways from Sunday. I used 1x2 PVC trim in my bathroom and it conformed wonderfully to my imperfect walls and ceiling. Only benefit over wood is that it won't rot. Other than that...did I mention its super bendy??

    TD-14 (Hurricane Milton)

As far as I know Joe that's correct. Surge is the water being pushed against the shores by the winds.

to vent or not to vent, that is the shrink wrap question

Mine usually have a vent or two put in by the winterizing marina. Depending on the marina, they may add DampRid baggies to the boat prior to sealing it up. Mold only appears to be an issue if the shrink wrap is punctured over the course of winter. Mine's kept outside under a bunch of maple trees...

I'm just gonna say stay safe as I can't be the only grumpy voice of reason around here :)

It's Transport Canada on the document, so Great White North. Anyone fans of the Weather Channel program "Heavy Rescue 401"? Takes place in and around Ontario.

    85 force propeller replacement

About 10 years ago, it was $50 to have my dinged up prop on the FourWinns repaired. Smacked rock bottom attempting to avoid a pre-teen in a 14ft aluminum boat w/outboard who's parents let him zip around the protected bay in. Took a couple weeks so I had the work done off season.

My 2015 grand dodge grand 's towing capacity

See all my previous posts. 6.09m(eters) = 19.89ft. Or for all practical purposes a 20ft boat. This is NOT an 18ft boat. Add this to your list of red flags.

    TD-14 (Hurricane Milton)

It went from a Cat 4 to a Cat 5 in about an hour. Buckle up FL folks and stay safe.

At this point, I'd be running from this boat, not walking. That's the last I'm saying on this as all my previous posts have the same info...you're over your max tow weight. Period.

    Seeing 360 Flasher on Fishfinder

I don't see your fishing line but I do see the lure being tracked...because it was in the transducer cone. Your other depthfinder/fishfinder may or may not be sensitive enough to see this. You would need to tinker with the location of the transducer to see if it can be tweaked.

User manual is about as useful as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. It will tell you the pointy end is the bow, and the end with the motor is the stern. Not to run over something and basic rules of the water. There should be enough red flags now that you should be walking...

Bought my first boat to cut, gut and rebuild from bow to stern, including engine. Killed my back and suffered the wrath of the fiberglass demons

Car skates...yes its a thing. Pull the tires off the trailer, put the skates directly under the springs and away ya go. Probably drop that puppy a foot or so. Used a set to move classic cars around in storage. Just in case you need other options further down the road...

    Careful what ya wish for…

I like the lines and its pretty much what I envision for my boys as their first boat. That being said, I wouldn't touch it as I have very limited time and no ambition whatsoever to own lots of PPE, several new tools, several hundred hours of sweating in a Tyvek suit grinding away,....umm you get...

    Boat

I agree with possibly a MFG...with a shot transom. You can see waves in it where the aluminum bandaid is being pulled through the transom as it twists. That to me is not safe to use in its current form.

Does the antifreeze you use really matter?

Two marinas that have done the bulk of service on my boats do NOT use antifreeze in them. Period. Volvo and Merc authorized dealers. They warm them to temp then drain the blocks leaving it dry over the winter. The selling marina who winterized my boat last year used pink antifreeze. Different...

My 2015 grand dodge grand 's towing capacity

Bayliners of the 80's had a small cuddy in the 18ft range. The port windows in the cuddy are a tad different which from what I've found on Google changed through the model years. So its a very safe bet you're not looking at a Doral but rather a Bayliner...

My 2015 grand dodge grand 's towing capacity

https://www.jdpower.com/boats/1996/doral-international The HID doesn't decode...too short. For that year, would need to be 12 digits. Look here: https://hindecoder.com/ Assuming this is a cuddy we're talking about, that puts the published length at 20' and you're way over your tow rating once...

My 2015 grand dodge grand 's towing capacity

And that's not the cuddy...smallest they list is 20'. So something isn't adding up. Besides, that's going to be dry (no gas/batts/gear/etc) and rigged (no trailer). Add all the extras in and its over the limit of the Caravan. OP really needs to be looking at aluminum if sticking with the...

2002 Four Winns 240 instrument problems

The gauge can probably be repaired if you can live without it for a while. There should be a manufacturer listed either on the face or the back of the unit. It probably has the Four Winns logo embossed on the face correct? If you're not concerned with the logo remaining, replacing may be cheaper.
