    Re: need help with old boat project! I'm almost 100% certain your stringers are Fiberglass so all that you need to replace is your deck and transom. If you build your deck from 5/8" plywood and encapsulate it in Poly resin and glass, it will last 40+ years. I doubt you'll still own the boat...
