My toon speed dropped from 21 to 14. Went to local sandbar to scotbrite the dirty toons. NOT the problem, rope wrapped around prop. No power T&T on my 1975 Blue Band.
Timing belt, flywheel to distributor. Timing was too advanced. The 850 changed IGN systems during the mid 70's 🤷 I just put that out there for information only.
The limit n trim position wires were toast on mine. I ran lamp wire up and over transom for temporary repair until I pulled bell housing for bellows replacement. Old style switch came apart, hopefully newer ones do too.
Same here, old guy. When lowering or lifting just the lower unit, I have used wood blocking under skag, then another old helper crank the trailer jack. Of course you still have too wrestle the shaft up/under the upper 🤷
