    Fortunately we have a dump in the town I live in. I did plan on using there scale to get a weight on the trailer and boat. Sea Ray claims 5000 dry weight. Sure what about adding a full tank of gas and water!

    O yea OK thanks. Would a aluminum intake be a bad idea. I am thinking salt water will eat up aluminum. A goggle search is giving me some conflicting info on the max RPM. Would 4500 be pushing it?

    Would mid range be around 2500 to 3000 RPMs? And what about top end speed that is what I am looking for. The way I see it HP= acceleration and more RPMs= more MPH. Its MPH that I am looking for. Right now Iam not sure if more HP is going to give me MPH.

    Good info. Thanks. I did remove a transducer mount off the bottom of the transom to get a clue. The screws were large enough in diameter where I could see the wood was solid. I know what a keyhole is but keyhole bolt?

    Or disco. LOL Yea way off topic but still good info. The only way I can think of " looking" at any wood that would be covered in fiberglass would be to use a IR camera. The only problem with that is I have know idea what I would be looking for with a IR camera.
