I need help, boat runs rough and stalls. I pumped new gas and lots more.. I need help

No, timing is electronic. If you're getting spark it isn't the coil $13 Amazon part is suspect. These are not maintenance parts (module at least). Mine (both pickup and module) are 36 years old. It isn't the breaker. When you throw parts at the problem you don't know what else you may be...

It does though. Check your fuel system

    Stern Drive Mystery

Likely fuel related, would start by checking the filters. Although we have no idea what's pushing the boat

    Seat covers

I bought some Turkish towels on Amazon, sewed a couple of pockets on the corners (to fit over the seat corners) put a couple of snaps on them and the seats. Work great, look pretty good, much nicer to sit on than the vinyl when wet or on a hot day

    Torn seal leaking gear lube

I was trying to figure out the sequence that would have led to all the problems...I think you got it Yup. In most aspects of my life. I also know the risk/benefit when I cut a corner, and know what to be looking out for later

    Maintenance Grease/Oil

This is gonna be way more exciting than an oil thread 😎

I think the newest car I've owned that could be timed was an 88 VW.

    Maintenance Grease/Oil

One other thing with the greases--they aren't all compatible with each other. I've done a deep dive on this in the past but forget the specifics. Fwiw my conclusion was that the Walmart marine grease and multi duty complex grease were the ones to use. I follow @Bondo recs on when to use what...

Also, in general your timing is just set at idle. Only reason to check at 2800 is if you think your module isn't advancing and is faulty. Probably not necessary in your case.

I was reading his post as being that the float *measurement* was too low, float itself is sitting too high in the bowl.

Did you check timing? It will affect everything... Low vacuum can be due to timing being off or engine running rich. Like AD said, look for fuel dripping down your venturis. Jet size shouldn't affect idle.

    Replacing clutch on my mini...

As an aside, haven't looked into why you can't resurface a dm clutch? Guessing either it can't mount correctly with all the extra stuff on it, or that the springs make it do bad things when spinning

    Replacing clutch on my mini...

That's where I ended up getting it. Valeo store about ½ cost of fcpeuro, and $35 less than rock auto ($220/free shipping). Still comes up as not compatible with my car though. Fcp is good quality and lifetime warranty on everything they sell, but you pay for it (fcp sells the same p/n valeo...

    Replacing clutch on my mini...

Went up to the local Indy shop and shot the sh!t for an hour with the mechanic (he has an e46 like my old one). Take homes: 1. Sell the mini. N18 engine not much better than the n14. 2. Except on the n14, he says don't bother with preemptive tonight chain replacement. He said you'll hear the...

    Replacing clutch on my mini...

You have a non-turbo *automatic*?! Flywheel apparently can't be resurfaced. I think I'm going to roll the dice on the flywheel and RMS. I'm going to swing by the local mini mechanic and see what he says. I'll replace it if it looks scored at all, though that will cost me a week. Luckily I have...

    Replacing clutch on my mini...

Finally getting ready to tackle the clutch on my '14 mini Cooper JCW. Failed after 80k miles, which apparently isn't unusual. Guessing they use the tears of mini owners as the friction material. Would like to have all parts on hand, and trying to figure out what to do while I'm in there...

    Starter angxt (?) ?

Check to see that you're using the correct bolts. At least on some 4.3s there's a horrible mishmash of metric/SAE (on the same damn block). Just close enough to strip out if you're using the wrong type.

Very Low Compessions on Mercruiser 5.0 MPI Engine. with Exhaust Manifold, Thermostat Housing Removed.

I'd pull the valve covers and turn the engine, see if the valves are moving. Could for sure be rusted open.
