3.0 mercruiser ran for 5 min good. Then Just died?

Idle mixture screw has a specific place and method to be, to set the mixture (not the speed). If you cannot lower RPMs by adjusting the idle speed screw then either the throttle cable linkage is too tight, or you have an intake leak. The Mercruiser Service Manual is the correct place to see...

PLEASE HELP NEW BOAT OWNER CRACK

I'd probably MIG pretty hot the big crack across the middle 1/2, then TIG the ends. Reason being the MIG will go on fast and pull the crack together. When finished I'd just leave the weld bead without any grinding.

PLEASE HELP NEW BOAT OWNER CRACK

IDK, might try welding it up..... nothing inside there. Oil passage on other side. No pic of the port side. All of starboard. Worse that happens, eats itself and has to buy both upper and lower.

Bell housing spacers Alpha 1 Gen 2

If someone walked into my shop and asked for a couple, I would grab up a piece of thick walled alum tuning with a 1/2 inch hole and toss in a saw. 5 minutes max. Surely there is a small welding business nearby.

I have a morphodite '92 with Vortec heads. Has no balance shaft and no mechanical fuel pump. I used v-belt accessories and a Performa intake. Worked out great. Only hard part in maintaining it is to remember there is no such thing as a complete gasket set. Have to purchase upper and lower set...

    Water coming into bilge

Leaking when in the water or on muffs? Broken speedo hose? Loose or bad water inlet fitting? Did you remove the drive again and see if the bellows has again taken in water? Can also be a transom seal. A rotten transom or a broken bolt.

Is my coupler off ? looks like it and drive won't go back in ..

Stick the bar back in and give it a good hard whack with either your hand or a dead blow hammer - Up, Down, Left and Right. That will align the gimbal bearing to the coupler. Next, pull the bar out and grease it twice as much - a good layer for all 2 inches of the smaller diameter end. Then do...
