    When the OP stated "say for 24 hours" I was assuming the boat parked at home or in a slip which didn't make sense. It does make sense to have the radio on at all times while on the water.

    It's difficult to tell the thickness of the flakes in the pictures. Are they very thin like paint or thicker maybe fan belt or rubber hose crumbs?

    Can you circle or highlight the area you're referring to? Are you having an issue with the motor?

    When you connect the wires to the blower where are your meter leads at when measuring 0V? With the blower connected connect the pos lead to the pos side of the blower and connect the neg lead to the neg terminal of the battery or to a known good ground and report back with the results.

    What condition is the primer bulb in when it acts up? If it's compressed try pumping it and open the gas cap and see what happens.

    Does it sound like the motor is starved for fuel? Filters clean? What size boat?

    If it was just a very small amount I'd do what you plan to do. Make sure you replace the washers and the plugs are in tight.
