    Keep in mind I've never worked on an outboard motor, what is the coil secondary and the HV connection? I know enough about electronics that if you can measure resistance on one spark plug boot and none on the other, you have an open somewhere.

    Reading an average of 6.13 on the bottom, OL on the too, yet that's the one that flashes the strongest with the inline tester.

    CJ6. It's a little short plug you usually find in a lawnmower or chainsaw.

    Just out of curiosity what sparkplug should I be using? When I bought it, it had C6J lawnmower plugs in it. Everything I've read says J4C.

    Are you saying pull the boot off of a spark plug and measure with red lead and the other lead to ground? That would measure resistance through the coil?

    Update: pulled flywheel, cleaned points and now have spark on both cylinders. Carb was supposedly rebuilt by a marine shop, but it acts like its not getting fuel. Will sputter and pop when you spray starter fluid but won't actually run.
