    Snap On Boat Cover

Look at my bridge cover. Each pole going thru it has slight gaps but very little, if any, rainwater gets thru. I’ve had this cover for 18 years.

    Bottom paint on Aluminum Crestliner

Chris is correct- aluminum hulls absolutely require a different coating, especially in salt or brackish water. To do it right, all the old paint has to come off before the proper stuff is applied. I’m sure a boating retailer can help with the specifics. Another thing to consider is adding a...

    Anyone Seen these?

Don't know about how it performs, but that prop would certainly add some nice bling to the stern of my rig! It would complement my polished stainless anchor on the bow!😂

    Tube with 25hp on a 14' tinny

Unless she’s as thin as Olive Oyl (Popeyes chick), a tube won’t get up on plane. I have a similar rig and couldn’t get an adult up on skis either. If she is ok with plowing around, go for it!

    Engine dies after 40 minutes

In no mechanic BUT I owned a boat roughly the same year with a Merc. 5.7 and spent an entire summer chasing the same problem. It was so infuriating that I would only run it for 30 minutes, then docked or anchored for a few hours. After doing that, it started and ran fine. Finally figured it out-...

Looking at a Wellcraft 3700 Martinique

One of my dock mates had a Martinique with 7.4’s and never complained to me about it being underpowered or sluggish. They moved to another marina 2 summers ago.

Radar Dome Install Trophy 2052 Hardtop

My guess is that it has a wood core between the inner and outer skins. You can drill thru it and use stainless machine bolts. Make sure you thoroughly cover the exposed wood with caulk and use large fender washers below. For optimal radar perfromance the radome should be above the roof and...

    Boat Wrap

We had our company truck wrapped a few years ago. No prep was needed but they asked us to wash it before dropping it off. It still looked good after 4 years outside.

How to get boat launched daily when Travel Trailer camping?

I used to do a similar trek, not a mile but about half a mile, with a sea kayak using pneumatic tires bungeed underneath. I did this on a public road but it was in a neighborhood with almost no traffic. I transported it a 5 mph or less. Initially I tried towing with a line but it worked better...

How to get boat launched daily when Travel Trailer camping?

The most simple solution is to acquire a set of dingy launching wheels. Here’s a link for some: https://thesandshore.com/best-transom-launching-wheels/ I know they used to sell some that clamp to the transom. With the 1 mile distance you would have to be creative, maybe running a line from the...

    14 Foot Jon Boat Identification

It looks like there is no Hull ID # on the outside of the transom, starboard side. If that is the case, the boat was likely made before November 1972. See this link for more detailed info: https://www.nrs.com/learn/identify-your-raft-inflatable

    Cement slab floor covering options

Similar situation here Charlie, except it was my sump pump. After my flood I installed Armstrong 12”x12” VCT (vinyl composition tile) with commercial adhesive. Since then we’ve had a couple minor events (pump float sticking) and the tile cleans up just fine, no edge curling or discoloration...
