    On my gen 1, disconnect them from pump, take off bolts from exterior mounting plate and pull the hoses out of boat. Easy

    4.3 is a direct replacment without having to deal with outdrive swap and it will use the same transom plate. Might be a simple as a head gasket change. Use the search feature for the 3.7 470

    You still have a cavity above the top oil plug. The oil from the tank is filling the remaining space in the outdrive.

    I picked up a 470 this fall and while doing the cam shaft sleeve I noticed mine was missing. Found a few bits floating in the pan. I read on a few forums this engine could almost go without one. I couldn't find one for while and finally one popped up on ebay

    I took it back off and removed any and all remnants of epoxy with a MAP torch. Less vibration and I am going to deal with it for now. Love taryl

    Sorry, but it's time to sleeve the cam shaft with a spedi sleeve . You might get lucky with the head gasket.99087 part number. Heat the sleeve with a hair dryer and use freeze can spray on the cam nose

    I took the magnets off since I did the alternator conversion and now I have a shake. Removed by Mod - not permitted. have a good workaround? I have also read that taking out the magnets is no issue. I am getting a good vibration at most RPM's
