    Pretty straight forward , I just did mine although the engine was out of the boat. I am in the middle of a alternator conversion so I had the tube off the thermostat to access the voltage regulator easier and to flush the coolant

    I am switching over to a marine alternator. I have heard the flywheel magnets could possibly come unglued. Are the weights part of the flywheels balance? Cons to removing them? What is the flywheel made of? If cast, I will not attempt.

    Use a impact , it will come. Just did my 470. Standard harmonic balancer....to install I used a 1/2 fine thread rod and nut with the harmonic balancer pushing flywheel back on
