    any links to source these modules $$$ ??? etc... Mag ingnition has been around for all these years and isn't that bad considering but if modules are cost effective .. a lot of these oldies are perfectly fine and were used few hours /summer on trips then stored away most of their lives.

    not mine ....just asking... owner stated he get's enough pressure (PSI) to cause the sensor to open as it should. for some reason the EMM declares code38 which normally indicates missing pulses. With justa single wire to the sensor seems that sensor must provide some form of pulsing ground...

    this what you find under the fw... themotor likely needs new condensenser ... points may be burnished but in doubt... replace and time per this video may as well install new plug wires and boots to ! lots of utubes on the subject . I use Belden automotive plug wires with metallic strand...

    another installation plate over original bypass cover plate ........pump is off-set a bit . don't forget to plug the air pressure nipple behind the carb note: some pics not mine .. the round pump with gold mesh has given problems apparently so best o use square Mikuni or OMC pumps

    I have an identical one at the cottage.. easy to convert and has Racerone suggested if you can find a 1960s+ transfer cover it becomes a piece of cake to convert by simply installing an OMC square pump. then change the side connector for single line hose . If you can't find a side cover...

    Great news ..creative approach to problem solving ! Can't say I ever seen it done that way. On the other hand can't say that condition (stuck hard shifter ) ever came up that I remember in my 18 years of reading on this board and AOMCI's . My only stuck hard (seized pistons ) problem...

    you could always try some heat on the shift rod near the bushing to see what happens or... freeze it (rod) or the bushing. keyboarb spray cans from the Dollar stores held upside down will freeze it quickly just as good as more expensive freeze sprays. just ventilate while doing it one...

    I think the connector has been taken care of if he dropped the LU I pulled the lower unit (after some fiddling around trying to get the shift rods separated in the full down position, and I can see the lower rod is stuck in its bushin

    Odd it should turn ccw to unscrew from the shifter . Me up the creek... I would wrap the shift rod to protect it & clamp a visegrip then try firm upward persuasion .. not drastic but others will suggest something for sure. . try turning the drive shaft while you try to shift.

    telltale indicates good impeller pumping water hot engine indicates poor water circulation around cyl jackets due to blockages. did you ever pull the cyl head and inspect the jackets for accumulated crud and verify the water supply entry and water exit holes ? gaskets...
