    Because they are installed correctly with the spring down. If you install them with the spring up, it WILL overheat. I’m old school, what is a diacom? Or do you mean a diagram?

    You have to get the correct fitting for proper fuel flow. There are several sizes.

    What Chris said. If you go with a quick connect, I prefer the Chrysler round connecters above the regular two pin connecters. They seal well and don't leak for me...

    Had a similar issue like that. 35 hp, but doing the impeller, then lost gears. Pulled the lower unit three times. No go. Finally figured out the shifter itself came disconnected at the helm. Problem solved.

    " Usually there is a heat sink under the first tube. Tin cover where the tube connects. I haven't seen one with another hole below myself.

    Oil Pressure Alarm

    All the comments before are good. I've had customers who had alarms, a lot of times it's the drive reservoir float that is stuck from gunk. My usual service is removing the reservoir and flushing it out.

    Bellows adhesive or not?

    I never put adhesive on the exhaust bellow. I used to but it would pull off the transom end sometimes. Then I read that it's not needed. Volvo not so bad but does happen at times. Mercruiser seems to come off almost every time with adhesive.
