    Putting a thin film of oil on the quad ring and O-ring but mostly not necessary. There is basically three generations of the pump, and a few slight variations of those, which pump do you have?

    If you don't get an answer I would remove the sender and measure the depth of the tank. Normally want a sender with one less drop than tank depth

    Think it might be to long To check screw the bolt all in without manifold and measure distance. Do this on every hole to see if it will tighten up before bottoming out
