    Ujoints clunking?

No don't see that as the issue You had noise under load, replaced gimbal and still have noise unloaded. I would say you need U-joints The test for a gimbal bearing is, put fingers in bearing with drive off and rotate. If it feels smooth as silk, its ok

    Volvo Penta 4.3

In most cases a diode blows or shorts due to to much current. Something in line with it started drawing more, like the fuel pump or relay. The diode can be replaced with a higher wattage one with no ill effects Note: you do know how to test a diode? Using a ohm scale you can get close by...

    Bravo 3 Driveshaft Oil Seal

Should not be any issues so long as you have the Merc manual and tools. Will need a rolling torque wrench and couple other special tools. I made my own bushing/seal remove/install tool.

    Bravo 3 Drive w. a Broken Flange

Those help absorb the load on the drive. When turning the load increases, so it can be heavy. Don't know what the effects would be over time

    99 Volvo 5.0GL

Might be coincidence that it happened after the water pump. Also assuming it didn't rain much It bogs at WOT and then starts having problems. I'm thinking fuel supply issue. Things to check: Dump fuel filter contents into clear container, see if there is only clear gas Fuel pump pressure, 3-8...

Replacing the water pump will have no effect on the motor running unless something else was knocked loose or disconnected. It could have an issue with water. If it was just a little bit of water the motor would burn that off in a short time. If it was more than that there could be an issue.

1986 Four Winns Horizon 190, Carb Linkage?

If it was on a auto, that is where the choke linkage would be. The piece missing is not found in a marine application. It keeps the 4 barrels from opening until the engine has warmed up That carb uses a vacuum linkage to keep 4 barrels from opening until rpms come up, there is no manual...

    New alternator, still low voltage

The guys bring up a good point. If motor starts and idles at 700 rpm then the ALT may not start producing power. Motor needs a quick rev (about 1500) for split second then back to idle

    No spark

What is the motor serial number? No fuel? Is this a carb, EFI, MPI? It's not the kill switch with 12V at the coil. The kill switch disconnects power from the coil

My apologies, The quad ring is on Alpha drives not Bravo. The edge or the Bravo seals against the bellows, and the metal ring holds it secure once drive is installed
