    V-P 5.7 Gxi intake on 383 stroker?

You have to throw the accessories , raw water pump, exhaust and coupler away as they are different than the VP stuff. The block is the same. Additionally the Mercruiser fueling is a bit lower than what VP does, so you're giving up some performance And they come with the block-busting single...

    V-P 5.7 Gxi intake on 383 stroker?

the 8.1 big block put out about 60% more torque than the 5.7 at 2000 RPM. 440 ft lb for the stock 8.1 and about 275 for the 5.7. the 375sp is a fueling cut-off rating. same block with a minor change to fuel map will do 475. More if you want to play with injectors and other bits from Raylar...

    V-P 5.7 Gxi intake on 383 stroker?

I believe the dry weight is 5833# for your boat. which means the wet weight is close to 7K. thats almost needing twins weight category. Not sure there is enough power in a small block for getting out of the hole quick enough to go skiing. with a change to the IPS drive, would make one heck...

    V-P 5.7 Gxi intake on 383 stroker?

    LiFePO Batteries ???

Ted, can always have a diode isolated power feed to the actuator and switch(s) that has a Deutsch DT series connector. then make up a pigtail connector with alligator clips or a cigarette outlet plug after wrestling the 70# engine cover and aft seat base out of the boat by myself, I envy the...

    1981 Mercury 7.5 2 stroke

you can get the manual from Mercury or find them on-line at sites like oldmercs or AOMCI for the 7.5/9.8. look at the 1980-1985 motors as they are all the same. the first thing you need to do is pull the leg, measure the vertical drive shaft diameter, then order a raw water pump kit. the...

    Trailer bleeding brakes. Part 2

you should not need sealant. the three types of fittings in the brake system are the bleeder which is a tapered seat, and the inverted flare nuts or crush washers in the lines. none need sealant.

    Hole through transom

no need for loctite or even rubber washers. a simple bolt thru the hole with some elastomeric marine sealant like boat caulk would suffice. if the hole is small enough, just the elastomeric sealant

    1988 Rogue 2420

Haven't used the boat for a while .... Rain ever weekend, then hurricanes. Spent a few hours scrubbing Salt Shaker. Next weekend, have to clean the cabin as lizards, Frigs, and humidity did their best to trash the boat
