    That needs a full rebuild if not replacement. I have not taken one of them apart but looking at manual 40 (cool fuel) it shows seals on the ends of the pumps, so right now I'm guessing nothing is broke.

    Agree Most folks don't use any protection because it stays cool. Only time it would get hot is when impeller stops pumping water

    They are manual valves so you can shut off a fuel supply. They are in the correct position for use, but could be clogged. The external pump will let you know if fuel can be pulled from tank

    Welcome I moved your thread so it will get more views I don't see the crane being able to be mounted on your boat and have enough structure to be able to support the load. You would need to stretch out the 9 inch plate to at least 4 foot and maybe a bit more

    Opinion Have never shrink wrapped a boat and don't plan to ever do. I have pole barns and while they are not sealed tight like shrink wrap they do sweat with temp changes. Take any steel building with no insulation in the roof and there will be times it will rain inside from the temp changes...
