    Re coating wood/fiberglass decking

You're not gonna get anyone in here to go along with rubberized coating over wood for your deck repair. We are all going to recommend either epoxy and glass or polyester and glass for a proper repair.

Deck Repair - Fiberglassing Question (Newbie)

Yes, that sounds like a solid plan. You say priming on all sides - assume you mean with poly resin?

MerCruiser 5.0 MPI pinging/detonation at higher RPMs

I know you've already bought new injectors but for future reference, the place I use for injector servicing charges $10 per injector for cleaning and flow testing, plus $10 for shipping, so $90 for a full set of 8.

Be easy on me please. Total newbie.

I, too, am a slave to the almighty Honda, reside in Chatt, TN, and am named Matt. Weird. I would do as Stress point suggested.

    Wire size for livewell please

Scott, my understanding is that he's talking about a push/pull cable with a solid core in a jacket...not electrical wiring.

    1982 Glastron C-535 Restoration

Thanks! It was a lot of work but it has been very rewarding. I said if I ever do another ill buy a machine and try to sew my own upholstery, just to have the skill. As far as gelcoat goes, I only rolled on new gelcoat in the bilge and ski locker. The outside is original gel...I just buffed till...

    1982 Glastron C-535 Restoration

    Engine Bed Fabrication

On my restoration, I pulled the old engine mounts and cut them open to see what they were. Turns out they were a 2" piece of mahogany (very rot resistant) sandwiched between 3/4" plywood. The lag bolts go into the mahogany, so any moisture that gets in through the bolt holes is only impacting...

    Engine removal thoughts

I had a buddy with a track hoe help me pull my engine. He couldn't bring it to me, so I towed my boat to his place. He picked the engine and set it on a tire. I towed the boat home, dropped it off, picked up a utility trailer, and went back for the engine. When I got home with the engine I...

1962 Chris Craft Holiday 20’ bucket list resto

If you zoom in close enough, you can see patches of skin stuck to that black vinyl from unsuspecting passengers. kidding of course. But man...what kind of sadist does black vinyl in a boat interior? Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for a lighter color of gator skin vinyl.
