    1974 reinell cuddy restore

took her out and broke her in. About 3 hours. Ran good without issues. Should have painted manifolds.... still might. And as a bonus the new ls 6.0 that has about 700 miles on it also ran great pulling the grade out of the lake. It's a steep grade that is several miles. Nice feeling to have...

1st Boat and owner of a boat (let's be clear here🤣)

Do you have a incandescent test light? I don't like led ones because they will light up with almost no current and give false indications. Assuming when you jump fat blue or green you hear pump run and drive move... 1. Check big incoming 12v for power 2. Jump Incoming power to the small blue...

OMC 140hp with 400 stringer sterndrive lots of questions!

That is the fill hole. Fill ti there. If you look on the inside of the boat in the same spot you will see a little rectangle cover. Mine didn't have a drain plug so I have to remove that cover and suck old out.

    Glastron soft floor

Choose a foam manufacturer and look on their site. They will have the expansion rates and at what temp. The colder the environment the less it will expand.get at least 10-15% more than you need. I bought an extra kit and needed every bit I had

    High Altitude prop question.

Altitudes For small changes in altitude, carburetors will compensate without any modifications. For larger altitude changes, carburetor jetting adjustments may be needed. A rough estimate is one to two jet size reduction for every 1,000-foot elevation increase.

    High Altitude prop question.

Remember it's about the air. With less available o2 per volume of air because it's less compact your air/fuel ratio will be off.the only way to truly correct this is to adjust fueling.

I will say this... if I need to glue something permanent, anything not just boat related that's my goto. Just bought replacement stones for my engine hone and 2 came off almost right away..... 5200 to save the day! The only way to clean off cured 5200 is with a grinder Fwiw

What's worse is the kid behind the counter "what's a accelerator pump? What car does it come off of?" I say.... it's not a car, it's a boat. I just need an accelerator pump for a holley 2300. Then I get " but what car does it come off of? Arrggg!

    Another Motor mount repair question

Outside is not a deal breaker. I covered boat with billboard tarps. 3 layers. In summer I used a fairly big swamp cooler and in the winter I had a old 3 phase shop heater that I converted to single phase 220. I would turn that on and superheat the boat with a propane turbo heater and then the...

    Separate intermediate housing?

Cable drum? If I remember right you rotate the drum until you can see the screw that locks the drum to the gear shaft. It's under the cables on the drum. Then you can pull the shaft. Then remove the bolts that hold the bracket and it should come off.

    '85 Sierra 16.5' Fiberglass - Floor / Transom / New Layout

I also used fiber disks with a backing plate. I have taken a few hits with an angle grinder and I don't think I would ever use a carbide saw blade. I am pretty ballsy but those things will cut off body parts before you can blink

    '85 Sierra 16.5' Fiberglass - Floor / Transom / New Layout

I did a "pre sand" with 80 grit to remove surface junk. Wash with acetone to remove contaminates so you don't grind them in deeper. Then get to the "pink" with a coarse grit. Wash with acetone again. I did a final touch with 16 grit but that's a bit overkill. When you start to lay glass with...
