    Once again, nothing to do with politics. Infrastructure would need to be built from the ground up, and hydrogen is difficult to produce and transport. Really, the only benefits of hydrogen vs EV are quicker filling and maybe weight. You'll never be able to fuel an H2 vehicle from your house.

    Either your coupler, broken driveshaft, or wiped out gears. Coupler sounds most likely still. Pull the top cover on the drive to check the gears, and/or pull the drain plug to check for metal.

    Do yourself a favor and remove the upper as well. In addition to allowing you to inspect your gimbal bearing, bellows, and u-joints, removing the whole drive is just easier. Splitting the drive while it's on the boat is *NOT* a Time saver

    That's a possibility, I think the pumps were mechanical until at least the balance shaft engines. I guess trace the wires, or see what your oil pressure switch looks like. Factory switch was 2 terminal, if relay is used it's likely 3 terminal.

    I went most of last year with a balky cable. This year it feels like a real luxury to get into and out of gear (all of them!) without having to finesse the shifter.

    Older ones don't (listed in the manual as an option). My '86 didn't, the '89 parts boat I got didn't either.
