Any way to remove Hotjar "Feedback" box from screen?

Sorry, I should have included this in the first post. It's the orange rectangle at the far right of the image.

Any way to remove Hotjar "Feedback" box from screen?

Is there any way to remove that annoying Hotjar Feeback box from the righthand side of the every single screen? It frequently gets in the way (e.g., it covers the arrow to advance photos when scrolling through multiple photos in full scree mode) and it makes absolutely no sense to have it in a...

Help! 1976 Mark Twain restore it or junk it?!?

Looks like a full gut-and-restore for sure.

Help! 1976 Mark Twain restore it or junk it?!?

If you're going to restore it, make sure it's a boat you really love and that fits your needs. Restoring a boat is really rewarding and you can wind up with a really well-built boat that will last a long time. However, restoring is a ton of work, much of it unpleasant (like grinding fiberglass...

using pneumatic brake bleeder for oil?

I've used one of those to suck differential fluid out of my truck, but never for motor oil. It was not horribly speedy, and I only needed to extract a bit less than two quarts. For a boat engine, between the small capacity of the reservoir on the extractor, and the distance the oil would have...

    Mercruiser starter

@trikeman72 , you're responding to a topic from 2017, so I think they probably have worked it out by now. @Claytonpa , wecome to iboats! It is not only against forum rules to reply to old threads, but you're also hijacking someone else's thread. Best to start your own topic fresh and let...

    Deck carpet layout

When I removed my glued-in carpet, the seam was at the junction of the deck and the gunwale.

    Boat refueling

I thought having a blower on while refueling was a big no-no... You run the risk of drawing heavier-than-air fuel vapors into the bilge. For me, no electricity at all is the rule for refueling. No blowers, no electric fuel pumps, nothing.

Towing 20 hours from FL to TX

Visit the scales. Likely you have more than you think. Also, the payload (weight of everything in the tow vehicle, incl. passengers, plus trailer tongue weight) is usually exceeded before the towing capacity is.

    Deck carpet layout

I think by ‘stitch’ they mean ’where should the seams between pieces of carpet be located’.

4.3 liter Mercruiser cool down period

Those blocks hold a good bit of heat. Perfectly normal.

    Boat refueling

We refuel from jerry cans all the time at our cabin (no gas dock on the lake there). The best thing I've found is a Jiggler; it's a hose with a device on the end that allows you to quickly and easily start a siphon that empties your gas can fairly quickly. You can find Jiggler-like devices at...

    Nautius Smart Trim Tabs

Even without re-adjusting, SmartTabs work OK for correcting a small list while at planing speed. If the list is pronounced, I'd probably look into hydraulic tabs.

Can't get boat even on bunked trailer.

The taller PVC guides are more of a visual aid to help you locate the end of the trailer; in many cases, they are really not intended to guide the boat. (The flat, carpeted guides are better for that.) My boat was hit by gust of wind that pushed it into a PVC guide and it was enough to bend the...

    Buying a new mattress

It's time for the Admiral and I to get a new mattress, so we're mattress-shopping -- one of my least favorite activities. I imagine we'll be doing the usual visiting of bedding stores and trying to find something we like, but I was wondering if anyone has seen any reliable buying guides for...

    Screw and Pilot Hole Sizes

That would work, but you still need to prevent water from entering the hole and running along the threads, so you're back to using epoxy or some sort of sealant.

Should I get this FREE project boat?

This is a tough market for buying used boats. Prices are ridiculously high compared to pre-COVID times. People are asking (and getting) outrageous prices for pretty crummy boats. I suspect the Restoration forum will be having many, many new visitors in the coming months and years as unwitting...

    Screw and Pilot Hole Sizes

If you put Marine-Tex in the hole, I'd be concerned about stripping the head of the screw when trying to remove it. Maybe if you sprayed the threads with silicone first, so the Marine-Tex doesn't grab much? Personally, I'd probably experiment some with some test holes in a sample slug of...

    Wheel bearings full of water

Yeah, I never assumed Bearing Buddies had anything to do with getting grease to the bearings; that is done when you service the hub and pack the bearing with grease. BBs are just supposed to maintain that postive pressure in the hub. If you have to keep adding grease to maintain that pressure...

    Transom Browning

Any toilet bowl cleaner that has oxalic acid or muriatic acid will do the job. I use ‘The Works’ and it will take that stuff right off. You do have to protect bare metal, though.
